Team 865: WARP7, is a high school robotics team from Toronto, Ontario, made up of over 50 dedicated students and mentors. We participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition, a worldwide engineering challenge that includes thousands of teams and hundreds of thousands of students. Our robotics program encourages innovation and fosters well-rounded life skills including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. As a registered non-profit running a high-expense program, we’re always on the lookout for sponsor donations: both monetary and in-kind, to keep our team running. Our team is also entirely student organized and run (with the exception of tasks requiring our head mentor such as purchasing items and team administration).
WARP7 was one of the first teams in Canada to join FIRST Robotics and has been working for over a decade to inspire students and create the leaders of tomorrow. Our goal is to go above and beyond the high school curriculum, to educate students to design and build robotics systems using industry-standard materials and tools, and to give students the opportunity to work together in teams to problem solve and innovate. Through the generous support of our parents, mentors, teachers, and sponsors, we pursue our mandate throughout the year.
